Cellebrite UFED is a series of products from the Israeli company Cellebrite for extracting and analyzing data from mobile devices. The program is designed to extract, decode and analyze digital data from mobile devices and other media. Initially for forensics, but is in demand in service centers for complex tasks. Key functions and application in service centers: 1. Universal data extraction: • Physical: Bit-by-bit copy of the entire memory (including deleted data, system partitions). The main weapon for complex cases. • Logical: Extraction of visible data (contacts, messages, photos, etc.) without deep intervention. • File: Copying specific files/folders. • Support: Thousands of models of smartphones, tablets, drones, clouds, memory cards, IoT. 2. Bypassing locks (within the law!): • Passwords, PIN codes, graphic keys. • Account blocking (FRP - Factory Reset Protection) on Android. • Requires confirmation of legal ownership of the devices by the client. 3. Working with damaged devices: • Faulty screen/touchscreen: Data extraction if unlocking is impossible is standard. • "Bricks" (software failure): Extraction via special modes (Bootloader/Download Mode), if the memory is intact. • Partial physical damage: Possibility of extraction with working memory (requires soldering/hardware skills). 4. Data recovery: • Access to deleted files (photos, videos, documents) in "free" memory areas (with physical extraction). • Extraction of data from encrypted application databases (messengers). 5. Decoding and analysis: • Conversion of raw/binary data into a readable format (messages, contacts, geodata). • Deep analysis of extracted information (requires Cellebrite Physical Analyzer). Critical points for service centers: • Expertise: Deep knowledge of mobile OS, hardware, forensic methods is required. Continuous training. • Legality and ethics: - Written consent of the legal owner is required. - Strict confidentiality and data security. - Clearly informing the client about the lack of a 100% guarantee of success (especially for complex locks/encryption/damage). UFED is a powerful tool for service centers, solving seemingly hopeless data recovery tasks (locked, damaged, encrypted devices). Application is strictly regulated by cost, the need for experts and compliance with the law/ethics.
